So, what is the main reason that a laser will damage your camera. Really, it is just that the highly concentrated light emitted from laser and when it hits the camera lens, it can burn the tiny camera component inside and even ruin the ability of the camera to function properly. These burn marks of the camera’s components will be irreversible damage, and that damage thus affects the photos and videos’ quality.
